This fortnights Kaleido Challenge is all about making the most of what little you have. We have been big fans of collage, so much so that we featured and invited the Sydney Collage Society to our Kaleido Issue 2 launch, which you can read about here.

Cut & Paste is a surprisingly soothing activity anyone can try, all you need are scissors, glue and a magazine or book! The challenge is to stick with only one magazine/book and see how many pieces you can create.

As a young creative you sometimes need to be resourceful, it’s pretty amazing what ideas can spark from essentially nothing. We found our magazine on the side of the road. And funnily enough, it was a Better Homes and Gardens magazine from 2002. See, no excuses!

If you join in on the action make sure to share your pics on social media, tag @kaleidopress and hashtag #kaleidochallenge so we can keep an eye on your progress. If you missed out on what went down with our first challenge ‘Seeing Red’, you can catch up here.

This fortnight we are picking a winner who gets one free ticket to Kaleido Shorts, a screening of short films and webisodes from Inner West filmmakers!

Collages: Michaela Parry and Liam Cameron
