You may recall reading about the talented Sydney Collage Society from Issue 2 of Kaleido mag, and also showing you the delights of paper collage at our launch event.

The Sydney Collage Society is pleased to present a group exhibition of new works featuring six of the society’s artists. Cut it Out! will run from December 11th to the 17th at Lowroad Garage in Paddington. The opening reception is on Friday, December 11th from 6-9pm, with beverages courtesy of Sailor Jerry and Dj sets from Sydney bands Black Zeros & NOIRE.

Made up of a diverse group of artists from Sydney, the Sydney Collage Society represents the many different styles and forms that collage can take. These artists set out to question the traditional definition of high art through decontextualising and reappropriating found images to create entirely modern and at times, fantastical pieces.

Celebrating the end of their first year, Sydney Collage Society’s exhibition promises to be impressive. Over 25 new works will be showcased at Cut it Out!, all that challenge the meaning and limitless diversity of analog collage art. The sheer talent and ingenuity of the SCS artists make this a show not to be missed.

The artists will be present at the opening reception. Lowroad Garage will be open daily for viewing until the following Thursday and appointments are available outside of regular hours.

Mon–Thurs 12-7pm & Sat-Sun 10–5pm
